As part of our Covid-19 testing initiative, CENTOGENE built the CentoTruck a mobile laboratory. It is booked for events but also sold to countries around the globe. In this position you will work as lab technician but also help to set up the truck at various site and train local staff. Today Berlin, tomorrow Amsterdam and next week Kenia – sounds good? Your tasks will be:

  • Taking medical samples as part of COVID-19 diagnostics
  • Independent execution of RNA preparation and RT-PCR reactions in high throughput
  • Documentation of the samples in the LIMS
  • Evaluation of the raw data of the analysis
  • Set up the Truck at the respective site, making sure to keep deadlines and to provide exceptional customer service
  • Train new staff, following the unique set up and our standard SOPs

You have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Completed MTA/BTA or CTA training or comparable studies in the field of molecular biology
  • Experience in PCR and strong pipetting skills
  • Readiness to travel regularly, even abroad and to work in irregular shifts
  • Independent and solution-oriented way of working and high communication competence
  • Very good knowledge of English
