Your tasks will be:

  • Planning and developing bioinformatic toolchains and pipeline for NGS diagnostics.
  • Maintenance of end-user software and web applications
  • Bioinformatic data analysis and algorithm development
  • Close collaboration with medical experts and diagnostic teams to coordinate and plan new diagnostic methods
  • Monitor automated data processing pipelines.
  • Assist in the standardization and management of SOPs for the R & D bioinformatics team

You have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A bachelor or master degree (with +2 years work experience in the field) in Bioinformatics, computer science or related field. NGS knowledge would be a plus.
  • Strong hands-on programing skills (Python, Perl, SQL, etc)
  • At least 2 years of software development experience in a scientific environment, ideally in an international company
  • Experience with Bash and the command line
  • Ideally experience with scalable cloud environments (AWS preferred)
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, combined with good team spirit
  • Fluent English skills
  • Ability to set priorities, meet timelines and company objectives
