Your tasks will be:

We are searching for a Human geneticist to lead the medical reporting group in Rostock. You will be responsible for structuring the daily tasks of the medical reporting group and take ownership of wide range of responsibilities related to your team including TAT, QC, trainings. If you are also eager to further improvement the quality and depth of our medical report, we are looking forward to meet you!

  • Responsible for managing the medical reporting staff, to empower them in their daily tasks
  • Provide leadership to the team, structuring tasks and roles; ensuring increasing quality and efficiency
  • Review and interpret the performance of the team
  • Close collaboration with senior management to define targets; pro-actively driving further improvement to reach targets
  • Set up business requirements and communicate those to business analyst and IT to improve workflows and tools
  • Assist in the standardization and management of protocols for the medical reporting team

You have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A doctorate degree  (with +3 years work experience) or Master degree (with +5 years work experience in the field) in Human Genetics or related field
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience in a scientific environment, ideally in an international company
  • Broad experience with NGS dataset analysis, and report writing end-to-end
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, combined with good team spirit
  • Strong organizational, time management and project management skills required.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet timelines and company objectives.
