Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Collaboration in the development of our systems, especially Big Data projects in the laboratory environment, with regard to innovative and target group specific products by using AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift) and relational database management systems
  • Support data analysis as needed
  • Develop plans and schedules for carrying out database backup & restore, clustering, scaling, optimization
  • Quality assurance of database / software development
  • Participate in the creation and improvement of processes
  • Develop, test, implement and maintain automated ETL operations for a variety of data sources and data marts

You have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, a comparable education or skills demonstrated by several years of practical work experience (ideally with certificate)
  • 5+years of working experience with ETL tools
  • Expert level demonstrated experience in developing code, implementation and adopting to cloud strategy
  • Practical experience in various SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB), Big data technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Hbase, Hive, Sqoop)
  • Profound knowledge in Java, Scala and/or Python and several data warehouse architecture techniques such as EDW, ODS, DM, ROLAP and MOLAP
