Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Working within the Product & Method Development Department
  • Driving and managing the testing, validation
  • Releasing of new products/methods into production, with special focus on qPCR-related assays and Sanger Sequencing
  • Interacting with multi-disciplinary teams; interdepartmental project coordination and lead
  • Driving innovation and taking responsibility in optimizing and developing (new) products in the molecular diagnostic field together with your and other teams at CENTOGENE - according to the needs of the production departments and ideally while increasing the level of automation

You have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Academic degree in Molecular Biology
  • Background in the field of human genetics desired
  • Scientific background in Sanger Sequencing and Deletion/Duplication Analysis
  • Experience in NGS and/or large data processing (e.g., via R) is a plus
  • First experience in process and project management, and strong desire to develop new assays and workflows with a clear implementation goal
  • Highly organized and able to deliver projects within agreed timeframes
  • Time management skills as well as experience in scientific writing
  • Strive for improving processes, embracing change and doing better next time
  • Communication in English is required, German is desirable
