Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Defining business- and product line strategy, including Key Factors for Success, product positioning, and differentiators
  • Developing corresponding R&D portfolio and roadmap as well as plans for business redesign, and drive implementation
  • Assessing competition and continuously monitoring new developments to adapt the product strategy accordingly
  • Managing product launches, including pricing, roll-out plans, etc., as well as product phase-outs (full life cycle management)
  • Developing global marketing and go-to-market strategies for overall active portfolio, incl. regional variations and must-have commonalities
  • Monitoring consistency/compliance of production and sales with what we want to offer and achieve, and financial performance of each product or service line
  • Representing corporate business and business ownership in front of customers, together with Sales
  • Closely working cross-functionally with the different functions from Research & Development, Production, Marketing Communications, Medical Affairs to Sales and Customer Support

You have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A university degree in biological sciences or the equivalent thereof (further background in genetics, biology, laboratory medicine, medical technology)
  • Professional experience in the field of biotechnology and product management (molecular diagnostics)
  • Solid understanding of methods in the field of modern human genetics, rare hereditary diseases and NGS offering
  • Experience in managing regional distribution partners
  • Fluent (in spoken and writing) English language skills are essential, other languages are beneficial
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and experience in managing scientific and complex products/services
  • The means to work independently, oriented towards performance and results
  • An interest in serving products that are novel and making a difference for patients and their families
  • Passionate about working together in a international team and with colleagues from around the world
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally if required
